and its just honestly stressing me out to the max

it depends a lot on where you go to school (us or outside the us, public or private) but i BELIEVE most schools have some sort of counseling center and learning centers that often work with each other.

so for example, i struggle with severe anxiety, depression and sound sensitivity that makes going to class very hard (im on the autism spectrum and am very easily overwhelmed by lots of sounds) and i really struggled through my first year of college. what i did was, my second semester of my first year, i went to my school's counseling center and told them my problems, they then recommended me to an off-campus psychiatrist that professionally diagnosed me with anxiety related sound sensitivities and depression. what my therapist did was write an official letter to the school's learning assistance center saying that i may be more absent from classes than the typical student. of course, the school had to approve it, but they're really not allowed to just be like "nah you're not mentally ill lol" and ignore a medical professional's diagnosis.

it sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through, but it's actually not too bad. it's definitely worth considering, as a professional diagnosis can be utilized for a number of scenarios-- ex. needing time off from class, needing to take a semester break, needing to miss more class than usual, needing to drop classes. tons of benefits.

also, campus health centers usually have medical professionals trained to diagnose mental illnesses and write letters stating that you legitimately have reasons to miss class. so that helps if you can't afford an off campus specialist

if you can't/don't want to take that route at all, it's seriously okay to talk to your professors privately about what issues you are having. most professors are very understanding and know college life is stressful.

as for like, general tips to not miss class, one of the biggest mistakes i make is sleeping right up until i need to throw on clothes and dash to class. it's so easy, esp when depressed, to be like "nah it's much easier to sleep in". obviously this is different for classes in the afternoon, but if it's your first class of the day try to set a few alarms so you can just have time to breathe and get up/ready so you don't feel overwhelmed
