It depends on the rant. I've unfollowed artists before who posted 9834903849 journals about how people are "copying" them or trying to rally their followers to attack somebody. And for racist/homophobic/generally unpleasant attitudes that reveal themselves through ranting journals.

But just normal venting is ok, imo? Just keep in mind that you aren't writing in a private diary; anybody can come across it!
